Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Vibe Sentinel (the "App") and the associated website at vibesentinel.manolus.com (the "Site"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the App

Vibe Sentinel is available for personal and commercial use on macOS. You may install it on any number of machines you own or operate.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App. The App is licensed, not sold. We retain all intellectual property rights in the App.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App in any form
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices, branding, or signatures
  • Use the App to develop a competing product
  • Use the App in violation of any applicable law

3. Automatic Updates

The App ships with auto-update functionality. Updates are verified against an EdDSA cryptographic signature before installation.

In the event of a critical security vulnerability, an update may be marked as required. The App will request installation before continuing to function. This is reserved for situations where running an outdated version poses a direct risk to you or your data.

4. Privacy

Your use of the App and Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy. In short: the App processes everything locally on your Mac. Optional usage analytics in the App are off till you enable it. The Site collects the email you submit (if any), runs cookieless pageview analytics, and stores hashed IP/UA for abuse prevention — never raw IPs in our database. 5. Third-Party Services

The App fetches public advisory data; no information about your code, packages, or environment is sent. The App also contacts our update server to check for new versions;

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Vibe Sentinel is a defensive tool and reduces — but cannot eliminate — the risk of credential leakage. You remain responsible for the security of your systems and the secrets you generate.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PUBLISHERS OF Vibe Sentinel BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP OR SITE.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the changelog on the /changelog page. Continued use of the App after that updates constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, Brazil.

10. Beta Status

The App is provided in beta. Features may be added, modified, or removed without prior notice. Use at your own discretion.
